The Abkhazi Spring plant sale was a huge success!
A huge line-up greeted volunteers when the gates of Abkhazi Garden
opened to let in buyers for our 2019 plant sale. Three hours later,
nearly everything had sold! New to this year’s sale, a table of heritage
tomato plants sold by grower David Greig proved extremely popular, as
did some choice perennials raised by local plantsman Joe Harvey. Many
Abkhazi-raised perennials now have new garden homes.
When the dust had settled and expenses were accounted for, more than
$1,400 was raised for projects in the Garden. Many thanks as always to
head gardener Jo Wyld and to the many volunteers who helped make this
